The Beginner Crew

Davey Black Triathlon specialises in building base fitness and developing triathlon specific skills. As a result, the sessions suit any person of any fitness level interested in the challenge of competing in and finishing their first triathlon.

Every member undergoes a fitness screening to determine how much training is ideal. From this, you and your coach will develop a swim, bike, run and strength & conditioning program.

All programs will be tailored to fit your busy work/life schedule and will to help you build fitness, reduce your risk of injury and achieve your race day goals.

The Beginner Crew eases you into training. As a result, you adapt physically and mentally to an accountable training schedule.

The Wolf Pack

The Wolf Pack is the central training and racing traithlon squad.

Programs delivered via Training Peaks are written for each individual’s specific work/life requirements and race goals. The fully coached group training sessions are designed to ensure that everyone trains with eachother for encouragement and support.

All athletes recieve a Training Peaks account to help plan your week and track your progress. Training Programs are also available via correspondence if you work long hours hours or live remotely.

The Wolf Pack programs and squad training sessions are tailored for mini, sprint, standard and half/70.3 distance events.

The Endurance Squad

The Endurance Squad is for athletes who want to take on the challenge of a Full or Ironman Distance triathlon consisting of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run.

These programs run for 20 weeks leading up to your race. All training prior to the 20 week specific lead in will be completed at regular squad training or via corresponcance, or any mix of the two based on the individuals requirements.

This 20 week block requires full commitment and a high level of feedback to the coach. This is to ensure that all sessions can be properly structured around work and family life and provide the greatest training efficiency for the time available.

This squad is suitable for first timers or experienced Ironman athletes.

Single Sport Programs

If you want to get a taste for triathlon squad training, we have single sport programs available for all levels of ability.

After consultation with your coach, you will recieve your targeted training program for one sport. This can be tailored to focus on just that one sport, or to fit in around other sporting commitments you have.

You will have full access to squad coaches, training sessions and a Training Peaks account.

Casual Squad Training

If you have a busy lifesyle and can’t commit to an ongoing membership, then a 10 Pass Pack is ideal for you. These can be used at any time that you are able to make it to a session.

The 10 Pass Packs do not include a Training Peaks account or a Training Program, but it does include full access to all squad sessions. You will also have included free access to your coach via email and phone.

The 10 Pass Packs do not have an expiry date.

Correspondence Program

A Davey Black Correspondence Program includes training data analysis through Training Peaks or online programing and full email and phone contact with your coach.

Your program will be tailored to suit your race and fitness goals.

Your coach will structure your individual sessions around your work and family life so you can get the greatest gains from your own training, with clear targets set for each of your sessions.

*All programs are paid monthly in advance. A two week written cancellation notice period is required to place your membership on hold but it can be reactivated at any time free of charge.
